Wedding Gates is a Nova Scotia based, boutique style, full service wedding planning and design company founded by Michelle Gates. 

Our goal is to create stress-free, beautiful and memorable events. We emphasize the importance of the tiny details in design that bring out our couple's personalities and tell their unique love stories. 

We totally understand how overwhelming the planning process can be, but we are here to bring you peace of mind. We couldn't be more excited to work alongside you to create an unforgettable event!

Hi I'm Michelle! I have been in the wedding industry for 12 wonderful years and worked in the financial industry for 12 years. That combo has allowed me to build a wedding planning business with an emphasis on practicality, resourcefulness, and budget consciousness without sacrificing design or creativity.

In July 2020, I married my best friend in the whole wide world. As a result, I now have a newfound perspective on wedding planning now that I have been a bride myself.

In the winter months, when wedding season is at a standstill, I like to keep busy by making Christmas wreaths and garlands. It is so much fun and allows me to keep my creative juices flowing all year long.

I've always had a passion for all things design related. Whether it be interior design, weddings or DIY projects! I am a self proclaimed jack of all trades. I'm always keeping myself busy with some kind of project.
